There has also been research done by Harvard, in an Alumni Study that shows the more physical activity done in a day the lower your expected mortality rate becomes. This study was done on a long-term basis, which included Harvard graduates displaying better survival with burning about 2,000 calories a week, the equivalent of walking 3 miles a day.
