To get a quality workout, you need to select a bike that allows you to choose from a variety of different workout programs. With interval training, you start your routine at a slower pace before significantly increasing the pace for a short period of time.  You repeat this pattern throughout your entire routine. According to some studies, engaging in interval training for a shorter period of time is just as effective, if not more effective, than maintaining the same pace for a longer period of time.
